Christmas Light Installation Service Areas

Fifteen towns across Chester County, the Main Line and the edge of Delaware and Montgomery Counties, all within about 30 miles of Malvern.

Where We Hang Holiday Lights

Our Christmas light installation service area is centered on Malvern and reaches about 30 miles in every direction. That covers most of Chester County, the Main Line suburbs west of Philadelphia, and a run of towns over the line in Delaware and Montgomery Counties. Each town below has its own page with the services, questions and details for that town.

The area is a mix, and that mix shapes how a display gets planned. Within half an hour you can go from a borough street of brick twins to a stone house set back behind old trees, then to a newer neighborhood of townhomes with an HOA, then out to a farmhouse with a long lane. The lights may be the same, but the plan for each of those is different.

Three Counties, One Service Area

Chester County

Most of our towns are in Chester County. It has old boroughs with a main street at the center, newer neighborhoods built out along the main roads, and open farm country to the south and west. Lighting a home here can mean anything from a narrow rowhome front to a wide colonial with a long driveway that guests see from the road.

The Main Line

The Main Line takes its name from the old Pennsylvania Railroad main line, and the towns along it run west from the city line out toward Chester County. Many houses here are older stone and brick homes with steep rooflines, deep porches and mature trees. A good display on a house like that often leans on the architecture: the gables, the porch columns and the big trees in front.

Delaware and Montgomery County towns

Our area also reaches into Delaware County to the south and east and into Montgomery County to the north. These towns range from busy business districts and shopping corridors to quiet residential streets, so both commercial holiday lighting and home installation fit these towns well.

What Changes From One Property to the Next

Every quote starts with the property itself. Across this area, a few kinds of property are worth thinking about.

Older homes and historic streets

Older houses tend to have more detail to outline and trim that deserves care. Clips hold the lights without nails or staples, which is why installers use them on older trim. On slate we keep to the gutters, since slate can crack under a shingle clip.

Townhomes and HOA neighborhoods

Many communities have rules about outdoor decorations, such as when they can go up, when they must come down, or what can attach to shared walls and railings. If you live in one, send your HOA guidelines with your quote request and the plan takes them into account.

Large lots, tall trees and long driveways

Out in the country and on bigger Main Line lots, the house can sit a long way from the road. Lighting the trees, the lamp posts or the line of the driveway often does more for the view from the street than the roofline alone. Taller houses and taller trees also take more time and equipment, which is one reason two quotes on the same street can differ.

Businesses and shared spaces

Shops, offices and community entrances want to look festive from the road and the sidewalk for the whole season. See commercial holiday lighting for how that works, or all our services if you are lighting a home.
