Seasonal Installation
We put the lights up before the holidays and come back afterward to take them down, so your season starts and ends without a single trip up a ladder. Between seasons the lights stay in storage with us, not in your basement.
Stone fronts, deep lawns and old trees along the Main Line, lit the way you picture them, with no ladder in your garage.
Berwyn takes its name from the Berwyn range of hills in Wales. The Pennsylvania Railroad gave the name to its station here in 1877, and it soon replaced older names like Reeseville. The train still stops here on the Paoli/Thorndale Line, and Lancaster Avenue still carries most of the town's shops and businesses. Berwyn is not a borough with its own government; it sits across two townships, Tredyffrin and Easttown.
That gives Berwyn a wide range of homes. Near the station and Lancaster Avenue you find older houses, some of them in the stone that the Main Line is known for. Away from the avenue, the neighborhoods that filled in after the Second World War have wider lots, mature trees and long front walks. We offer Christmas light installation in Berwyn for every one of them, plus permanent lighting, event lighting and Christmas tree delivery.
Whatever the house, a lit Berwyn home is usually seen from a distance, across a lawn or up a drive, so the plan starts with what reads well from the street. Call or fill in the form, tell us about the house and the look you have in mind, and we will send a quote that costs you nothing.

A permanent system runs in a slim track along the eaves and stays up year round. Many systems let you change colors from an app. In daylight the track sits close to the trim and is easy to overlook, which suits a house where looks matter all year. It works best on long, clean eave lines.
If you host in December, a holiday party, an open house or a winter wedding at home can get its own lighting: string lights over a patio, bistro lights across the yard and lit trees or paths for the guests, taken down afterward.
Want a real tree without the trip? We can have a fresh-cut Christmas tree brought to your door in Berwyn. It pairs nicely with a lit house, and both can be arranged with one call.
Stone is beautiful lit, but it changes the plan. Lights cannot hang from a stone wall, so they follow the gutters, the eaves and the trim. Clips hold the lights without nails or staples, which is why installers use them on older trim. Warm white tends to bring out the color of the stone at night, while multicolor gives the same house a more playful look.
Many older Berwyn homes also have features worth highlighting on their own: a front gable, a set of dormers, a stone pillar at the end of the drive or a big shade tree by the road. Lighting one or two of those, rather than outlining every edge, often gives the most striking result. A stone pillar wrapped in mini lights, or a single gable traced in warm white C9 bulbs, can say more than a house covered from end to end.
The lights come from us, so there is nothing to buy, and you are free to try different colors from one season to the next. With a seasonal home install, the lights are hung, taken down and stored for you.
A home set well back from the street needs more than a line along the gutters to be seen. Wrapped trunks on the trees nearest the road, lit shrubs along the front of the house and a lamp post or two along the drive help carry the light out to where people actually see it. Mini lights also suit the boxwoods and low shrubs that often line a front walk.
If your yard has a big old oak or maple, it can make one of the best displays on the street in December. Big trees raise questions: how high to wrap, how many strands, and where the power will come from. Tell us about the property (a few photos help) and we will send a free quote that covers the trees you want lit.
Some homes in Tredyffrin and Easttown neighborhoods belong to associations with rules on outdoor decorations. If yours does, send your HOA guidelines with your quote request and the plan takes them into account.
Lamp posts and pillars at the end of a drive are easy to overlook, yet they are the first thing a visitor passes. A short wrap of mini lights there, matched to the color on the house, ties the drive and the front together.
Timers are worth thinking about on a big lot, too. Nobody wants to walk to the far end of the yard on a cold night to switch the tree lights on. Ask about adding a timer: it can switch the display on at dusk and off at the hour you choose.
Yes. Berwyn sits across Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships, and we install Christmas lights on homes on both sides, along with the neighborhoods around them. All of it is well inside the area we cover, which runs about 30 miles around Malvern, so it does not matter which township your tax bill comes from.
On a stone home the lights follow the gutters, eaves and trim rather than the stone itself. C9 bulbs along the gutter line read well from the street, and mini lights suit a stone pillar, a porch rail or the shrubs in front of the house.
The cost depends on the length of the lines being lit, the height of the house, how many trees and shrubs are included, the bulb type and color, and timers. Big old trees and long drives add to the job, so each house gets its own free quote.
It suits homes with long, clean eave lines and owners who would enjoy a lit house well beyond the holidays. The lights sit in a slim track along the trim and stay up all year, and you change colors from an app: warm white on an ordinary evening, something brighter for a birthday, a game day or Christmas. On some older homes with lots of detail, seasonal lights hung by hand may suit the house better, and we will tell you which we think fits.
Yes. Trunks and lower branches can be wrapped, or a whole tree lit, depending on its size and how it is seen from the street. On a deep lot, lighting the trees closest to the road usually does more than lighting the ones behind the house.
Yes. We set up string lights, bistro lights and lit trees or pathways for parties and gatherings at home, then take them down afterward. Tell us the date, the space and how many guests you expect, and we will suggest a setup that suits the evening.
